When a message is double-clicked in the list, it will open in full size or in a new window, based on your message display preferences.

The header block now displays all message headers, including a photo of the sender if one is available in your address book.

While viewing a message in the preview pane, you can open it in a new window by clicking the “Open in new window” button.

When a message is opened in full-size view, the toolbar above provides buttons for various actions that can be taken for that message.

Move to Another Folder

To move the current message to a different folder, use the drop-down list located on the top right of the toolbar. Selecting a folder from the list will immediately move the message there, and the window will display the next message in the list.

Add Contacts to your Address Book

To save an email address referenced in the current message to your address book, simply click on the email address then choose the “Add to address book” option in the popup menu. If the email address already exists in your address book, it will not be saved again.

View or Download Attachments

If the opened message contains attachments, they will be listed on the right side, next to the message text. Clicking on a file name will either open or download the attachment. If the file can be displayed directly in the web browser, a preview window will open. This applies to images, text files, and PDFs, provided your browser supports their display.

If the file cannot be displayed directly in the browser, clicking the file name will initiate the download process. A dialog box may appear, prompting you to select a location to save the file. If the dialog box does not appear, please check your computer’s default “Downloads” folder for the attachment file.

Forcing Attachment Download

If a file is being opened directly in the browser, you can force the download by either clicking on the “Download” link in the preview window or right-clicking the attachment file name in the message view and selecting “Save Link As…” from the browser’s context menu.

Image Previews

If enabled in the Preferences settings, images attached to the message will be displayed as preview thumbnails below the message text. Each image will have links next to it, allowing you to either open the image in full size or download it to your computer’s hard drive.
