Preview​ ​Pane

If​ ​enabled,​ ​the​ ​preview​ ​pane​ ​below​ ​the​ ​message​ ​list​ ​displays​ ​the​ ​currently​ ​selected​ ​message​ ​in​ ​the​ ​main​ ​email​ ​view.​ ​To​ ​open​ ​or​ ​close​ ​the​ ​preview​ ​pane,​ ​click​ ​the​ ​toggle​ ​icon​ ​in​ ​the​ ​message​ ​list​ ​footer.

Shortcut​ ​Functions

In​ ​the​ ​upper​ ​right​ ​corner​ ​of​ ​the​ ​preview​ ​pane​ ​are​ ​buttons​ ​for​ ​frequently​ ​used​ ​actions,​ ​such​ ​as​ ​reply​ ​or​ ​forward​ ​the​ ​message.

The​ ​menu item in the rightmost​ ​icon​ ​will​ ​open​ ​the​ ​message​ ​in​ ​a​ ​new​ ​window​ ​for​ ​a​ ​full-sized​ ​view.

Expanding​ ​the​ ​Message​ ​Headers

The​ ​preview​ ​pane​ ​is​ ​designed​ ​to​ ​provide​ ​a​ ​quick​ ​view​ ​of​ ​the​ ​message,​ ​so​ ​only​ ​important​ ​message​ ​fields​ ​like​ ​sender​ ​and​ ​date​ ​are​ ​initially​ ​displayed.​ ​You​ ​can​ ​expand​ ​the​ ​header​ ​part​ ​of​ ​the​ ​preview​ ​by​ ​clicking​ ​the​ ​down-arrow​ ​on​ ​the​ ​left​ ​side​ ​of​ ​the​ ​header.
