Polish drafts, rewrite tone, and accept AI suggestions in the composer.

Compose assist helps you draft and refine outbound mail without leaving the editor.

Available actions

Action Where
AI polish Composer toolbar — improves clarity and grammar
Tone rewrite Composer — adjust formality (e.g. more direct or more diplomatic)
Accept AI draft ⌘⇧A / Ctrl+Shift+A when a suggestion is shown

Knowledge citations

When you have entries in your knowledge wiki (for example signals saved from Signal Hub or mail saved to the wiki):

  1. Place the cursor in the editable body.
  2. Type # and optionally a few search characters.
  3. Pick a snippet from the list — Finmail inserts a short citation you can edit before sending.

Sensitive messages that disable knowledge save also hide citation helpers.

Workflow tips

  1. Write a rough draft or bullet points first — AI works best with context.
  2. Review every suggestion before sending; you remain responsible for compliance and accuracy.
  3. Enable Privacy Enhancement Gateway if drafts may contain sensitive data (Privacy gateway).
  4. Compose assist counts toward your plan's compose assist quota (Professional guide).
