Yoruba people from Nigeria have a lot of cuisines to taste, their cuisines are even in form of cereal mix, meat mix, vegetables mix or both mixes at a time. Aagun will work better for vegetarians as it is sourced from cornmeal.

Nigeria – Afang Soup
Afang soup is a vegetable soup from Southern and eastern Nigeria. It originates from the Efik people of the Efik kingdom in Cross River State and the Ibibio People of Akwa Ibom. Nigeria is a country with many different traditional dishes, Afang inclusive.

Nigeria – Margi Special
Nigeria is a country in Africa sharing land borders with the Republic of Benin in the west, Cameroon in the east, and Niger in the north. The dish is popular in the northeastern part of Nigeria, with an origin from the Margi tribe people who are living around riverine.

Nigeria – Miyan Kuka
Miyan kuka is among the loved soups in Nigeria with Ewedu and Ofe onubu included. Miyan kuka is originally comes from Hausa tribe in the northern Nigeria.

Nigeria – Tuwo Shinkafa
Nigerian cuisine Tuwo shinkafa is originated from Hausa tribe, people leaving on the northern part of the country. Unlike tuwo masara that is prepared from maize, Tuwo shinkafa is prepared mainly from highly smashed rice and sometimes from corn.

Ogbono soup is a draw soup. It is often called swallow. This soup is a very delicious soup and it is valued in Cameroon and Nigeria. This is the meal where most people who consume it, lick their five fingers.

Palm nut soup also known as Ofe Akwu is a delicious African delicacy made from creamy extract got from pulverized palm nut fruit. In Africa, and Nigeria to be précised, the women must know how to cook.

Nigeria – Okpa
Rare cuisines prepared mostly in Africa. Okpa is rare dish. You will mostly see this dish in Nigeria or if prepare elsewhere, you may find out and see the chef or person that prepared the dish is from Nigeria. This doesn’t mean that you can’t prepare the dish. That is why am writing about it.

Nkwobi is a typical Nigerian Cuisine. It is an expensive dish with cow foot as its main visible components. It is often termed as food for the rich. This is because the dish is expensive and for an individual to prepare this dish at home, maybe for a party or for home consumption, that person should be rich.
