Senegal – Rice Pilaf
Rice is like a necessity to a home. Many homes have rice as their main cuisines. Rice Pilaf originated from Europe, but accepted and widely prepared In Senegal. However, it could be considered as a Senegalese cuisine as well.

The question about cuisines and their origin has been a thought that I have been thinking of. The are many cuisines around the world coming from different tribes and regions. The question I use to ask myself is, how where the cuisines formed.
Today I will be writing on a traditional meal called Angwa Mo. Angwa Mo is a Ghanaian meal which means oiled rice. This is rice like any other rice. But the cooking process is so different.
Today, you will be reading about Abak Atama Soup. This is a delicious soup popular amongst the Ibibios of Akwa Ibom State in southern Nigeria. Unlike some other soups, this meal got its names from the ingredient used for preparation.
Ewa Agoying is a Nigerian meal commonly eating in Nigeria. In one of my articles on local cuisine, I wrote on Tukuni. With Tukuni, it is spiced pounded potatoes with beans.
This meal am about to write on is also called African salad. From its out look, someone will think it is salad. Abacha is prepared from casava. it is cooked well first, then grated and then sun dried. Abacha is a meal prepared and valued by the Nigerians, mainly by those from the eastern part of Nigeria.
The traditional dish you are about to know today is Palava sauce. This sauce is prepared with spinach and okra. But at times okra could be missing but not spinach.
A cuisine is a traditional cooking habit. Kuku Paka is a Kenya dish. This dish is valued and enjoyed by the Kenyans. It consists of chicken, coconut milk and other spices.
Snail is good meat in Cameroon. Oh yes. Very nice meat. So-many stories have been said about snails. The snail is said to be the slowest living thing God created to exist on earth.
This is another African delicacy which originates mainly from South Africa. This cuisine is processed and baked. It is delicious and has a wonderful aroma.
