Singapore – Tau Huay

Tau Huay or Douhua is the sweet dish of Singapore which is actually like a pudding. Pudding is the most favorite sweet dish of every child or person. Tofu Pudding is also very tasty and delicious with a silky sweet texture. We can use Gelatin as a coagulant. In which we can use soy milk for the sweetening of this dish. You can use gelatin which takes about 6 hours to set in its actual position of this special tau huay. This is not sweet form when it is just tofu pudding we can sweeten its taste by adding sugar syrup to it.
Tau huay is the sweet dish which is the combination of different flavors.
You can also add flavors or food color to it if you want to make it in funky style for your children. Children always attract to funky colors and flavors as well so you can also add them to it. You can also add fruits in it may be frozen fruit like ice cream or may the fresh fruit, its p to you totally that which type of fruits you want for yourself or for your children or guests.
Every person has its own taste so every country wants to make their different kind of foods, a sweet dish is a very important dish of every country because it is always present in every function. Pudding is present in every country according to their culture and ingredients. No one in this world would deny eating this. So, Tofu pudding is also present in every country but with different names.

The texture of the pudding is very smooth, silky, and satisfying. You just love to eat this because its sweet taste and so satisfying texture courage you to eat this special dish of Singapore. Whenever you visit Singapore, you would definitely eat this sweet dish of our cuisine.
WHAT IS PUDDING
Let us talk about the pudding if you don’t know about it, Pudding is like a cake but not in the hard form. It is a very sweet silky texture that is shaped like a cake but not actually the cake. You can use a sweet dish but it is a proper meal because of its calories. It contains a large number of calories.
For sugar syrup
- soy milk
- If you want to make sugar syrup at home, then take a pan.
- add water to it.
- Add a large amount of sugar to it.
- Leave it on medium heat.
- Stir it until sugar melts.
- Sugar syrup is ready.
- Take a pan.
- Add soy milk to it.
- Add gelatin in it and leave it for 5 minutes to cook.
- When the gelatin totally mixes in the soy milk.
- Now strain the soy milk from the gelatin.
- Now take the milk and leave it in the fridge overnight.
- Remove it from the fridge the next morning and then serve it by adding sugar syrup on it.
