Colorful rice has its origin in India and famous dish in Pakistan. Colorful rice are also called vegetable rice because it include vegetables that increased in the taste of rice and make it more delicious. Colorful rice are made on festival like marriage and birthday parties. Although it can be eaten in dinner and in lunch. This one pot recipe is absolutely favorite dish because it’s lightly flavored with just lightly vegetables. This is a simple, easy and delicious dish that can be prepared in short time. As everybody knows this vegetables have great importance in the health matter so make your dinner colorful with the colorful rice with the help of my recipe.
- Basmati rice 500 grams
- Onion 1 chopped
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Sugar 1 tsp
- Chili powder 1 tsp
- Soya sauce
- 1 tbsp
- Capsicum 1 Chopped
- Tomato 1 chopped
- Carrot 1 chopped
- Cabbage ½ cup shredded
- First of all wash the basmati rice.
- Take a bowl put some water in it and add the washed rice in it and put it on flame boiling
- When the rice boiled then drain it cool it
- Every grain should be separately seen.
- Take a heavy saucepan put oil in it and put it on flame
- Add the capsicum and carrot in it and fry it till bright and remove
- Add onion in the same oil and when color turned it golden brown then remove it
- Also fry the cabbage in the same oil and remove
- Now add tomatoes and chili powder, salt and sauces
- Add all the fry vegetables
- Now transfer them to a bowl and mix it with rice. Mix the rice until it got evently coated
- Baked it in the hot oven
- Covered for 10-12 minutes
- After 10-12 minutes colorful rice is ready to serve
