Mapu tofu is a very spicy cuisine that is based on spices and meat. This is basically the cuisine of CHINA, and we all know that Chinese cuisines are not so spicy but MAPU TOFU is the only cuisine that is spicy in taste and also spicy in looking.
The MAPU TOFU is a very unique name and “Tofu” is a “set of spicy” which make the dish in red color. We pronounce the MAPU TOFU as ” MA PU DOU FU”. This is actually the traditional cuisine of Sichuan.
MA stands for pockmarks and PU stands for the old woman and you think that this name is not relateable with cuisine but it is relatable because old women which faced the pockmarks made this dish. This dish is actually made in special pots of China because it gives different level of temperature and it makes it more delicious. They use different ingredients of their country which is not available in other countries and it makes it unique.
Every country wants to make this type of cuisine which is more tasty and unique as well but it is impossible because you can only make it once with your ingredients and the ingredients of china are so different that is unforgettable to eat and you cannot even deny eating this dish.
Japan 和 Korea try to remake it with their ingredients but its taste is not that kind of good.
Americans also try to remake it but Sichuan cuisine have different level of taste.
This dish is originated in China and for the very first time, it is made by an old lady named CHEN PO. She was the first woman who runs her business of MAPU TOFU

you can serve Mapu tofu with
- Boiled rice
- Roghni naan
- Garlic naan
- red chili powder
- black pepper
- soy sauce
- chili sauce
- sesame oil
Take a bowl and add all the ingredients of sauce in it.
- Soy sauce
- Chili sauce
- Garlic paste
- Red chili powder
For cooking tofu, you have to add water in the pan and leave it on e medium heat. Now add tofu in it and cook it.
The very first thing is to heat the sauce and add oil in it.
Now add pork in it with 1 tablespoon of salt, corn starch, soy sauce, chili sauce, ginger and garlic paste.Heat it well.
The last thing is to add pork in the masala and collect all the thing together. And your dish is ready.
