Egypt – Bamia

Bamia is actually one of the best appetizers of Egyptian food. It is called a stew of OKRA. It is a very different dish because it totally cooked in tomatoes along with meat.

Okra Potatoes are made with different kinds of ingredients like okra, onion, garlic, tomato or ketchup, pomegranate sauce, and meat. The main thing in it is that the ingredients are always cooked in broth to make a particularly great fried dish. It can be mutton, beef, or chicken. Okra steak is a recipe for Middle Eastern beef, which includes tomato sauce, Arabian spices, and veal. Healthy and delicious, served with rice and salad.

HISTORY

Bamia is found in ANATOLIA and in GREECE.

WHAT IS OKRA

BAMIA is the Arabic word of OKRA. There are different words that can be used for ladies fingers.

Okra is called “LADIE’S FINGER” because its looks like this. Okra thrives best in hot and humid climates, and in India. Although we know this plant as a vegetable for pure purposes, it is a botanical fruit because it is part of the plant that produces seeds. Okra is often used in soups and dishes. It contains mucolytic, which naturally thickens when heated.

Although it is useful for dishes like gombo, Gombo is also called Okra, it is often a delicious product. In some parts of the Caribbean, the bar is salty and fried. However, other products use salt to soften delicate consistency. Dry the spicy and fragrant okra, reduce the delicate texture, and give the okra a greasy taste. If you are looking for a solution that will thicken your mouth, try baking in a low and slow oven or chewing gum.

TEXTURE

Its texture is very slimy and silky.

WAY OF COOKING

Bamia is made in two different ways, you can make it in a dry form or in a curry form. It is all up to you that which type of Okra you want in your dish. It may be in the sticky form or may be in dry form. If you want sticky Okra then you can fry them and then add in the curry form texture. Heat oil in a pan, when the oil is hot add onion and garlic. Okra or Lamb Okra tomato with spices and herbs and a mixture of heroin beef okra, a common dish in the Mediterranean region. But nothing could seriously defeat the Egyptians. Stir for a few minutes or until your work is done. Add the meat to the pot and mix again until lightly browned.

Okra or Bamiya is a popular vegetable dish. Bhendi is also found in Greece, Turkey, and the Mediterranean, especially in countries such as Jordan, Egypt, Syria, and Lebanon.

METHOD

  • The very first thing is to fry them in the oil so its stickiness get less.
  • to make masala, fry onions in the ooil by adding ll the spices and ginger and garlic.
  •  dd tomatoes, tomato paste and simmer for few minutes.
  • now add all the things together and then serve it.
