Egypt – Baba Ghanoush

Baba ghanoush is the very special dish of EGGPLANT. Egyptians can use different types of recipes of EGGPLANTS and present their cuisines according to their culture. Baba ghanoush is actually a mixture of different spices and things like scrambled eggs, tahini sauce, garlic, lemon juice, and salt. This cuisine can serve with different kinds of stuff like vegetables, bread, naan, etc. The delicate smell of smoke is combined with an Atheist egg. This Baba ghanoush is a very creamy and delicious smoky broth that can be made with different ingredients. The most delicious thing about this dish is its smell, the smell of eggplant is very refreshing.

You can also call this dish Levantine appetizer. This is served before the meal.

LEVANTINE CUISINE

Levantine food is a cuisine of LEVANT, belongs to a large area of the eastern Mediterranean. It is located in the modern states of Cyprus, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, Syria, and parts of southern Turkey, near Adana, Gaziantep, and Antioch.

ABOUT NAME

Baba Ghanoush is the Arabic word. The word “BABA” has the meaning of “FATHER” and the word “GHANOUSH” is the name of a person. The actual meanings are  “pampered papa” or “coy daddy”.

INGREDIENTS

  • eggplant
  • yogurt
  • onions

  • ginger
  • tahini paste
  • lemon juice

METHOD

  • take eggplant and wash it.
  • Now for the smoky flavor, heat on the flame.
  • Add tahini paste which is made with sesame beans.
  • fry garlic and ginger paste in the oil.
  • Add lemon juice in it.
  • Add yogurt in it.
  • Mix all the thing and serve it.
