Egypt – Bissara

Africa means food, travel, jungle, loneliness, and adventure. Bissara is a food which consists of beans and looks like mashed potatoes. It is actually a National dish of North Africa and consists of beans-type ingredients like peas. Moroccan food is broadly Mediterranean food. Morocco is home to mainly Tajiks and Pastels, a true symbol of Moroccan cuisine.

Filipino – Lugaw

Lugaw or Lugao is a glutinous rice or a porridge type of dish which only requires 5-6 ingredients to make. Lugaw is a dish which can be eaten as a dessert and a savory dish as well. The main purpose of this dish was to give the people something that was easy to eat and something that could help them nutrition wise. As I have discussed in my many articles that many of the cuisines of the Philippines have a Chinese background. This dish is also one of them.

North/South Korea – Kongnamul Muchim

This is a very nutritious side dish served as BANCHAN. This dish is a combination of beans sprouts with other vegetables and some nuts and noodles are also added to give it a nice base to the dish. Banchan is the side dish of Korean cuisine. It is mostly grilled and steamed dishes. This is the Korean cuisine that traditionally originated at the JOSEON DYNASTY. This dish is influenced by Buddhists at the time of the Three Kingdom.

Cameroon – Egussi Okro and Yellow Garri

Okro is a fruit vegetable grown in almost if not all but at least six regions in Cameroon. In the center region okro can be seen grown by the beti and ewondo tribe. Okro soup itself is very nutritive and good for every age group from a toddler to adults to the aging.

Ghana – Banku and Tilapia Fish
